After the destructions of war and do-it-yourself reconstruction, the business was re-opened in 1947, at its present site in Köln-Marienburg. Even in the post-war years, it supplied the more sophisticated households of the distinguished families and embassies in Cologne.

In the historic city of Cologne, the "Woosch-Eck" (Sausages Corner) was opened. The snack-bar was known for its quality even outside the city limits and had numerous regular customers, from the street-cleaner to the Lord Mayor. (Today, the bar of Holtmann's Restaurant is located on the same premises.)

Aus der anfänglichen Lieferung von Canapés und Appetithappen entwickelte sich das Angebot von Kalten Buffets und kleineren warmen Essen. So wurde der Grundstein des Party-Service gelegt.
The parents Wilma and Franz Holtmann, took over the parental business and expanded it in the course of time to include fine specialities, delicatessen products, fresh fruit and vegetables. As the years went by, the Münster Butchery became Holtmann Delicatessen. From the original catering business with canapés and appetisers the range of cold buffet and small hot meals developed, laying the foundations for the Party Service.

Nach Abitur, Bundeswehrzeit und Ausbildung zum Koch bei Feinkost Käfer in München kehrte Michael Holtmann (geb. 1962) in das Familienunternehmen zurück und kümmerte sich um den Aufbau des Mittagsbistros und den Ausbau des Party-Service zum Catering-Komplettausstatter.
After completing the gymnasium, military service and culinary training at Feinkost Käfer in Munich, Michael Holtmann (b. 1962) came back to the family business and concerned himself with developing the lunch bistro and expanding the Party-Service into a full-scale catering supplier.

Michael Holtmann wrote the book "Tisch-Events mit Genuß" (Table Events as a Treat). On more than 300 pages and with 600 photos it describes 16 different culinary events with recipes, contact addresses, wines and important suggestions. The first edition was sold at a price of € 150 per volume.

Holtmann's im Museum Ludwig und im MAK führt servierte Menues für bis zu 300 Personen, Cocktailparties für bis zu 600 Personen und Parties für bis zu 2000 Personen durch.
Holtmann's Catering Services führt an jedem gewünschten Ort Special-Events für bis zu 3000 Personen durch.
Holtmann’s can provide up to 120 indoor seats in the restaurant, bar, wine cellar and Cigar Room as well as 60 outdoor seats on the terrace and in the beer garden.
